Panorama Day: the music of nature at Oasi Zegna

4th edition of the FAI/Fondazione Zegna event dedicated to landscapes and beauty

Breath-taking views in an environment of nature, music and virtuous relations between humans and the landscape. “Panorama Day” is back this year too, on Sunday 10 September, once again organized by FAI – Fondo Ambiente Italiano and Fondazione Zegna.

The event is held in three of Italy’s most wonderful corners of nature: Podere Case Lovara at Punta Mesco, Levanto (La Spezia), Masino Castle and Park at Caravino (Turin) and Oasi Zegna at Trivero (Biella).

Oasi Zegna, a freely accessible nature reserve created in the Biella Alps in 1993 as a logical development of Ermenegildo Zegna’s “green philosophy”, is hosting a number of initiatives on this occasion, for both adults and kids, all designed around stimulating panoramas and with musical interludes and the participation of local guides.

The main musical attraction is at 15.00 on the roof top terrace of the Zegna Wool Mill, where there will be a concert of string music featuring Obiettivo Orchestra in collaboration with the Filarmonica del Teatro Regio di Torino (booking obligatory).

But the whole day will be rich in events. At 10.00, a Nordic Walking excursion will start out from Casa Zegna to follow enchanting paths across the moorland and the Conca dei Rododendri. Kids can take part in “sound” walks (departures between 10.00 and 16.00), with workshops designed for families by “Il filo da tessere”, a social consortium. A walk round the Conca dei Rododendri, with musical accompaniment, will start at 11.00, enabling visitors to discover the cherry and beech wood, and the work of art produced by Dan Graham for the “ALL’APERTO” project.

There will be a break at 12.00 for relaxation and a picnic (baskets distributed courtesy of Cynara Flair). Another attraction not to miss is the opening of an exhibition at Casa Zegna: "Radici e Ali. Costruire il futuro, dal centro Zegna al mondo" (Roots and Wings. Building the future, from the Zegna Center to the world).
