Ermenegildo Zegna, landscape engineer – From the archives

Dal 22 novembre 2007 al 24 febbraio 2008

CasaZegna, the new cultural center and archive facility (historical, industrial and social) has produced an exhibition of photographs drawn from the formidable archives that the Zegna family has built up over the years. The seed of this commitment to conservation was sown by the founder of the eponymous wool mill and is an evident part of his heritage. His meticulous keeping of documents and above all the priceless fabric samples reflect an impelling desire to share his experience. It’s a tension we can see in his wide-ranging priorities: focus on raw material selection and finished product quality, cultural sensibility and environmental and social issues. The exhibition looks at the major works Ermenegildo Zegna carried out around the Wool Mill from the ’30s onwards (construction of the Centro Zegna and the Panoramica Zegna road and major landscape work).
