WWF is one of the major international organisations for the conservation of the environment and the promotion of sustainable development. It has more than 5 millions activists and supporters, in more than one hundred countries. In China WWF started its activity in 1980. In 1996 it opened an office in Beijing where 50 operators now work on different projects.
