This is the concept underpinning \u201c<strong>Barrique, the third age of wood<\/strong>\u201d, an <strong>Ermenegildo Zegna Group project<\/strong> in collaboration with <strong>Comunit\u00e0 di San Patrignano<\/strong> and <strong>Letizia Moratti<\/strong>. Launched in 2012, its main aim is the <strong>recycling of barrels and recovery of people<\/strong> through the creation of a <strong>permanent collection<\/strong>, which now has over 40 design works. Each of them is a one-off piece designed by well known architects and designers made by hand by <strong>young people in the San Patrignano Design Lab<\/strong>.    The collection has now been <strong>enriched by a new work<\/strong>, <strong>Baco<\/strong>, which is a stool made entirely out of <strong>wooden barrel staves<\/strong>. The inspiration behind it is the rounded form of <strong>silk worms<\/strong>. It creates a fascinating play of color, with contrasts between the purple color inside and the pale oak outside.    The work was designed by the internationally renowned Spanish designer <strong>Patricia Urquiola<\/strong>, who has thus joined a long list of <strong>notable names<\/strong> associated with the project, such as Karim Rashid, Alessandro Mendini, Michele De Lucchi, Carlo Colombo, Daniel Libeskind, Aldo Cibic and Mario Botta.    Baco was presented in <strong>Ermenegildo Zegna\u2019s Global Store<\/strong> in via Montenapoleone in Milan on Monday 13 April and will be on display there during the <strong>week<\/strong> of the 2015 <strong>Salone del Mobile<\/strong> (Furniture Expo) and for the whole of <strong>april<\/strong>. It can then be purchased online at the <a title=\"Spazio Sanpa\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spaziosanpa.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Spazio Sanpa website<\/strong><\/a>.
