On the expansive lawn outside the Villa\u2019s theatre, FAI\u2019s landscape gardeners planted out the bulbs under the direction of the architect Emilio Trabella.<br\/> Every March, since then, about a million and half yellow, violet, blue, white and speckled crocuses bloom, transforming the Villa\u2019s lawn into the biggest crocus garden in the world and attracting visitors from all over Italy to Casalzuigno. In 2007, Villa della Porta Bozzolo embarked on a new project, to upgrade the \u201cViale delle Querce\u201d (Oaktree Avenue). <br\/>Due to the inexorable deterioration of the double row of oaks in the villa\u2019s \u201cSecret Garden\u201d, it was decided (together with the local architectural and environmental authorities) to replace them.
