Le fotografie scattate sulle montagne del Qinling, in Cina, dal giovane fotografo del National Geographic, Mattias Klum, documentano nella mostra "Lunga Vita al Panda" il progetto “Corridoio del Panda” per il quale Fondazione Zegna è impegnata dal 2004 insieme al WWF. Situato in un’area spartiacque tra il Fiume Giallo e lo Yangtze, il “Corridoio” ospita oltre un terzo dei Panda esistenti nel mondo ed è una delle 200 eco-regioni dichiarate dal WWF come più ricche per biodiversità. Oltre alla conservazione della biodiversità e quindi dell’habitat ideale per il Panda Gigante, il progetto assicura sostentamento alla comunità locale attraverso la partecipazione ad attività di tutela forestale, introducendo modelli di gestione sostenibile, creando nuove professioni e promuovendo l’utilizzo di fonti energetiche rinnovabili. La mostra arriva per la prima volta in Italia a Trivero, dove Ermenegildo Zegna coltivò il suo “pensiero verde” che continua a essere esportato nel mondo grazie a Fondazione Zegna e ai suoi progetti per la salvaguardia la valorizzazione ambientale.
