In 2020, this mission was extended by Skilland, an educational guidance project addressing young people aged 8 to 17. Made possible by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Biella in collaboration with Con i Bambini, a social organization, the project provides various activities in schools and other contexts to encourage the young to explore themselves, discover their talents and make choices with greater awareness and autonomy.
Their shared values and determination to, in the words of Ermenegildo Zegna, ‘Look beyond the Horizon’ in the pursuit of wellbeing, employment and respect for the individual have led to projects that could not exist without a sense of community.
The works of entrepreneur and philanthropist Ermenegildo Zegna, for whom the quality and beauty of products went hand in hand with social wellbeing, the cultural development of the local community and the safeguarding and promotion of the environment, have been carried forward by Fondazione Zegna, which has found an ideal partner in Consorzio Sociale il Filo da Tessere. The consortium’s mission is to help communities grow into a more inclusive society. The Foundation and the Consortium have experienced a sort of positive contamination between an entrepreneurial organization and a social one, their collaboration enabling “the former to become more social and the latter more enterprising” in their sharing of objectives and projects centering on ethical/responsible development of the territory in which they operate.
