LONG LIFE TO PANDA! Photos by Mattias Klum on Qinling mountains – China

Dal 20 maggio al 24 giugno 2012

In the exhibition entitled “Lunga Vita al Panda“, photographs of the Qinling mountains in China by the young National Geographic photographer Mattias Klum document the “Panda Corridor” which Fondazione Zegna has been supporting along with the WWF since 2004. Situated along the watershed between the Yellow River and the Yangtze, the “Corridor” is home to over a third of the world’s surviving pandas and is one of 200 eco-regions declared by the WWF as the richest in terms of biodiversity. In addition to conserving biodiversity, including the ideal habitat of the giant panda, the project ensures sustenance for the local community by participating in activities safeguarding forests, introducing sustainable management models, creating new occupations and using renewable energy sources. The exhibition is showing for the first time in Italy in Trivero, where Ermenegildo Zegna cultivated his “green philosophy”, which continues to be exported throughout the world thanks to Fondazione Zegna and its environmental protection and promotion projects.
