Elderly, disabled, social work

Set up in 2000, “Il Filo da Tessere” is a consortium of social organizations specializing in services for people in the provinces of Biella, Novara, Verbania and Turin.
It provides services for minors, the elderly and people in economic or social difficulty or with disabilities and develops projects in the fields of youth policies, employment services, professional training and organizational consulting. In recent years it has been engaged in the designing of corporate and territorial welfare programs in collaboration with local businesses.

Fondazione Zegna shares the Consortium’s mission in its support for the development of the community and the growth of an inclusive economy based on people.

Through Il Filo da Tessere, Fondazione Zegna supports and works with Cooperativa Sociale Maria Cecilia, which provides homecare for the elderly Oasi del Benessere and its “Botteghe dei Mestieri” project, which creates occupational activities disabled people. It is also a partner in the Reshape project.
